# Probability -Questions

**P****robability -problem. .**

**Probability** is the branch of mathematics concerning numerical descriptions of how likely an event is to occur or how likely it is that a proposition is true. The **probability** of an event is a number between 0 and 1, where, roughly speaking, 0 indicates impossibility of the event and 1 indicates certainty. Probability states to perhaps that means there is possible one things , as if a coin tossed there probability will be one **HEAD or TAIL. **

There are very type of probability questions like Dice, Coin, Ball, Train etc. Such questions are generally stuff and some easy.

## Questions.

**A bag has 4 red balls and 2** **yellow balls. What is the probability of getting a red ball ? Is it more or less than getting a yellow ball ?**

## Answer

## There are total 6 outcomes. Since, there are 4 red balls, so the event that we get a red ball has 4

Outcomes .Thus

## the probability of getting a red ball =4/6=2/3

Since, there are 2 yellows balls, so, the event that we get a yellow ball has 2 outcomes.

Thus, the probability of getting a yellow ball=2/6=1/3.

So finally answer is

Thus, the probability of getting a red ball is more than that of getting a yellow ball.
