Probability -problem. .

Probability is the branch of mathematics concerning numerical descriptions of how likely an event is to occur or how likely it is that a proposition is true. The probability of an event is a number between 0 and 1, where, roughly speaking, 0 indicates impossibility of the event and 1 indicates certainty. Probability states to perhaps that means there is possible one things , as if a coin tossed there probability will be one HEAD or TAIL.

There are very type of probability questions like Dice, Coin, Ball, Train etc. Such questions are generally stuff and some easy.

Questions.

A bag has 4 red balls and 2 yellow balls. What is the probability of getting a red ball ? Is it more or less than getting a yellow ball ?

Answer

There are total 6 outcomes. Since, there are 4 red balls, so the event that we get a red ball has 4
Outcomes .Thus

the probability of getting a red ball =4/6=2/3

Since, there are 2 yellows balls, so, the event that we get a yellow ball has 2 outcomes.

Thus, the probability of getting a yellow ball=2/6=1/3.

So finally answer is

Thus, the probability of getting a red ball is more than that of getting a yellow ball.
